The Bubs960 Scale

Grading Guide

Six grades. Plain English. Every piece on Bubs960 is rated the same way, and every flaw gets photographed. Here's what each grade means.

The Scale

From "never touched" to "definitely touched" — and everything in between.

MOCSealed

Mint On Card / Factory Sealed

Never opened. Card, bubble, and figure all in collector-grade shape.

No creases, no soft corners, no tape lift. Bubble clear and attached. Factory seals intact. Any minor card wear or warehouse dings are called out explicitly in the description and shown in photos.

MMint

Mint — Loose, Complete

Out of package, but looks like it never was.

Figure is loose but pristine. All accessories present and unworn. Joints tight, paint perfect, no scuffs or rubs. Displayed only — never played with.

NMNear Mint

Near Mint — Loose, Complete

One or two tiny tells under a magnifying glass.

Figure looks great from arm's length. Maybe a faint paint rub or a joint with a hair of slack — noted explicitly. All accessories present. Still gallery-shelf worthy.

GDGood

Good — Loose, Complete or Near-Complete

Shelf condition. Looks the part, shows its age up close.

Light paint rubs, a soft joint or two, maybe minor accessory wear. All major accessories present (missing ones listed). Display-worthy from 2+ feet; shows loved-and-handled up close.

FFair

Fair — Loose, Incomplete or Wear Visible

Loved by someone. Still a solid shelf piece or parts donor.

Noticeable wear: paint wear on high-contact zones, loose joints, or missing one or more accessories (always listed by name). Honest shelf condition, fair pricing.

The real deal — somebody's Saturday-morning hero.

Heavy paint wear, loose/missing accessories, possible joint repairs, bite marks (it happens). Perfect for parts, customs, budget builders, or nostalgic shelves. Every issue listed and shown.

A Note on Third-Party Grading

When a piece is slabbed (AFA, CAS, WATA, UKG), the grade on the slab rules — we list the slab grade in the title and include the case number. Unslabbed pieces use the Bubs960 scale above.

If a grade ever feels off when it arrives, message within 48 hours. We'll make it right, every time.
